His boundless enthusiasm and 'you can do it too' attitude was inspiring and reminded us that we don't need to spend a fortune on expensive gear and exotic holidays to take good photographs - we just need a bit of imagination, a little cunning and to get out with our cameras in our own back gardens and supermarket car parks!
